Rapport pour le parkrun du Bois de Boulogne, 07/03/2020. Evénement #210 par Daniel Mullin.
Ce fut un privilège de participer à mon premier parkrun sur le sol français. Je suis membre du BBC Concert Orchestra, et j'ai été rejoint par mon collègue et confrère violoniste, Marcus Broome, par un beau samedi matin ensoleillé au Bois de Boulogne.
Nous sommes arrivés le vendredi, et j'avais déjà fait un Freedom run pour reconnaître le parcours avant l'événement principal ! Nous avons quitté notre hôtel au Pont des Sèvres pour prendre le métro jusqu'à Ranelagh. Une courte marche jusqu'au parc, nous sommes arrivés à temps pour faire un tour de chauffe autour du lac et pour nous présenter à Simon Messenger.
L'itinéraire est principalement plat, sur de bonnes surfaces et très pittoresque, autour de la circonférence d'un lac paisible. C'est une oasis de tranquillité dans une ville animée, les gratte-ciel visibles depuis le parcours du parkrun, un rappel visuel qu'il s'agit d'un lieu urbain, mais sous la limite des arbres, il semble être un parc paisible avec un nombre considérable de coureurs non encore affiliés au parkrun. Ce nouveau parcours a été conçu pour être plus accessible et constituer un spectacle plus évident pour attirer les habitants de la région. Espérons que le nombre de coureurs augmentera en conséquence.
La famille du parc réserve un accueil chaleureux à ses derniers membres, qui participaient tous pour la première fois :

Nous espérons que vous avez apprécié votre premier événement et que vous reviendrez. À l'opposé, toutes nos félicitations à David Brewin, qui a terminé son 313ème parkrun!
Le résultat le plus élevé en termes de pourcentage d'âge a été obtenu par Gabriel Sterne, avec un excellent 75,96 % et une étape spéciale pour Brendon McMahon qui a terminé son 100ème parkrun.
Une dernière mention spéciale est adressée à Georgie Young, qui a donné un briefing bilingue avant l'événement avec une aisance et une clarté exemplaires, ce qui a permis aux visiteurs anglophones de savoir précisément ce qui se passait. Merci beaucoup pour votre hospitalité.

Run Report for parkrun du Bois de Boulogne, 7.3.20. Event #210 by Daniel Mullin.
It was a privilege to take part in my first parkrun on French soil. I'm a member of the BBC Concert Orchestra, and I was joined by my colleague and fellow violinist, Marcus Broome, on a beautiful and sunny Saturday morning in Bois de Boulogne.
We arrived on the Friday, and I had already done a Freedom Run to recce the course prior to the main event! We left our hotel at Pont des Sevres to travel on the Metro up to Ranelagh. A short walk to the park, we arrived in time to do a warm up lap around the lake and to introduce ourselves to Simon Messenger.
The route is predominantly flat, on good surfaces and very scenic, around the circumference of a picturesque lake. It is an oasis of tranquility in a busy city, the skyscrapers visible from the parkrun course, a visual reminder that this is an urban location, but below the tree line, it appears to be a peaceful park with a considerable number of runners not yet affiliated to parkrun. This new route is designed to be more accessible and more of an obvious spectacle to attract locals. Let's hope the numbers grow accordingly.

The highest Age Grade Percentage result went to Gabriel Sterne, with an excellent 75.96% and one special milestone, Brendon McMahon who completed his 100th event.
One final special mention is to Georgie Young, who delivered a bilingual pre-event briefing with consummate fluency and clarity, which enabled the English speaking visitors to know precisely what was going on. Many thanks for your hospitality.
